no pets for us yet
Tuesday is $1 pretzel day at Auntie Anne's, in case you didn't know...

This picture needed to be taken for documentation of my life. :) Today was the first day I'm finally ready to admit I really, really want an iphone! We had a lot to do today and along the way, both boys fell asleep. Mason really needs a nap during the day so I decided to do my usual and enjoy Starbucks drive thru while the boys slept. Then I sat there and looked at pictures on my camera, planned Mason's birthday party, took pictures of myself and wished I had an iphone. I think I'll put a book in my car to hold me over until I get said phone.
One of our stops today was at Petco to check out frogs. Ryean read that frogs are a great low-maintenance pet that might be a little more exciting than a fish (which Andrew doesn't want because you have to feed it everyday and they're boring). Turns out he doesn't want a frog either. He wants, in his words without me even asking, "a black dog. A really big black dog". He then specified that he'd like to get it as a puppy. He has put some serious thought into this. We're not ready for a dog and Andrew doesn't seem to want anything else so it looks like we're going to continue to be a pet free house for now.

Okay, okay... I get it. You want Gus for the weekend. That's no problem. I'll pack him up and drive him over to your house Friday evening. Oh, and by the way, he needs two long walks a day.
No matter how many times Andrew asks for a dog, stick to your guns. Wait until they are both old enough to help care for one, otherwise it's your dog and you'll do all of the work!
We got our first dog on my sister's 7th birthday (I was almost 6) and that was a great age. So...can you hold him off for a few more years? :)
My iphone has a 'funny kitty' app. I let the kids talk at it and it changes their voices into this funny kitty voice. There. Problems solved. You get an awesome phone, they get a pet that is zero work and makes their voices sound funny. I'd like to see a real pet do that.
You can borrow (or just come visit) Jax any time you want! We live close so that is easy:)
I have been selling things around the house on ebay lately and made quite a bit of extra cash...it works and helps with those extra purchases:)
