I have too much time on my hands:

robot

Andrew doesn't really tell us what he learns in school. We ask, but he either says he doesn't remember or picks some random thing to tell us about. For example, I started to work with him on writing his name and he already knew how to do the first three letters! Then, the other day I asked him if he likes to draw smile faces or people and he told me he didn't know how but that he could draw a robot. :)

happy father's day!

We spent the afternoon at the beach in Mukilteo. Despite the weather, we had a great time and definitely plan to do it more often this summer.

happy birthday, Sam!

We celebrated our friend Sam's 4th birthday today! It was a rainy, baseball party at a really cool park (Grass Lawn) in Redmond. They had a ton of baseball props to play with and even set up a game on the field. The boys had a great time. (And Mason can officially jump!)

coloring is not to be taken lightly

Mason takes coloring pretty seriously. Today, I'd say he stepped it up a notch...

Andrew has a workbook that is meant to keep kids up to speed between pre-K and kindergarten. He loves it! I just thought he looked cute doing his homework today.

next year

This picture is awesome and extremely sad all in one... Andrew's entire class is graduating this year except for him and one other girl. I was told he was pretty bummed out at their graduation when he had to sit out and watch all his friends in their caps and gowns. Then as his two best friends were getting their picture taken, they asked if Andrew could join in since he's their best friend too. The mom who took this picture said Andrew's face lit up when they asked him to join them. Ahh! It kills me. I'm staying strong though and holding back the 'life sucks, and this isn't the last time this will happen' talk for later. :)

we need more days like this

Today I planned to meet Lisa and her boys at the park. It was a nice little plan until I realized we left Andrew's car seat in Matt's truck. We decided we could get by with just a booster seat since Andrew is tall and it's a pretty short ride to the park, so Lisa stopped by and let us use Bella's (pink) seat. Here he is loving the fact he's in a different seat. He has his hand on his head to show how tall he is. :)

I tried not taking any pictures at the park, but that didn't last long. I couldn't resist.

I looked away for a second and Mason found his way over to this little thing. Later when he went to it I couldn't resist taking pictures of him as he was climbing up. He's turning into such a little boy these days and watching him do things that you can tell he's proud of just makes me smile.

He also loves the zip line. I only let go for a couple seconds at a time, so this was the best I could do for a picture.

Andrew loves it, too.

These boys played so well together that we decided to bring the party to our house. Mason needed a nap (first nap in his bed and he did it like a champ!) so I put him to bed and we sent the bigger kids outside. Me and Lisa were able to drink coffee and chat all afternoon! It was lovely.

my new & improved work life

Stephanie and I went for pedi's on our lunch break on Wed. I was planning to take the rest of the afternoon off, but Matt got held up at the DOL (oddly) so I ended up going back for a bit. Since I wasn't wearing pedicure-appropriate shoes, I got to wear these bad boys to the office. This just made me laugh, so like usual I thought I'd take a picture...

good morning

This is how I found the boys when I checked on them in the morning. They both made me smile.

time for bed

Tonight is Mason's first night in his new bed. He was so excited, I didn't even have to tell him it was bedtime. :) I wanted to go with the momentum and not mess it up, so I didn't want to take a lot of pictures of him. This is the picture I got. It cracks me up because he kind of looks scared but I promise he was excited. He was so excited he refused to look at me and may or may not have told me to go!! He's lovin' it!

goodbye baby {room}

I hate to say it because it makes it so official, but I'm afraid Mason is no longer a baby...

Today's nap was in his crib; bedtime is in his new bed! But before I get to that, here's what he looked like before he grew up. :)

I went in to snap a quick picture but ended up getting crazy sentimental and teary. I was so excited for Andrew to move to his bed, I don't even think I took a picture of him or his room before switching everything up, so this was unexpected. I sat in there for a few minutes, took some pictures and decided it's definitely go-time. Mason loves Andrew's bed and I knew he'd love having his own. He's almost two. He'll always be my baby, but technically he's not a baby anymore... sniff.

It was such a sweet little room.

in the backseat

Where's Waldo? is great for the car! Andrew was cute while he was trying to find him, he kept saying 'this one is tricky!' but he kept finding him and got excited every time.

He's cute, too.

Cam's choice

There was some time to waste between Cam's graduation and lunch, so we stopped at a little park.

Mason couldn't quite climb up the tube, but really really wanted to, so Matt jumped in to help him.

For a split second I decided it'd be fine to let Mason have his first run in the playland. Then I remember that he couldn't climb up the little tube and the park and realized I made a bad decision. I tried to go in after him but freaked out and had to send Matt in... It was a really big maze so he would've gotten lost and/or scared for sure. I don't know what I was thinking!

on to kindergarten!

We went to Cam's preschool graduation today. I can't believe our cute little godson is on to kindergarten! How cute is he?!

The boys did a great job (for the first few minutes). Andrew wasn't taking it quite as seriously as Mason was though. :)

We had lunch at McDonald's after the graduation. (I'll have pictures up later, including Mason's first attempt in the playland, but I can't find my camera right now).

Then, because we couldn't get enough of the Leonardson's today, they came over for dinner.

At first glace we've always thought Logan looks a lot like Andrew. He got wet and needed to borrow some clothes - in Andrew's clothes he really looked like him!

Bella left us a note before she left. :) Thanks for coming over, we had a grate time too!
