I have too much time on my hands:

the fair

When we got to the fair, Andrew was so excited for rides he could hardly handle it. We decided to go look at animals and listen to a little music first though, to let our dinner settle just a bit.

He had fun, but lasted about 10 minutes before asking if it was time for rides. So we headed over to the rides where we spent the rest of our night...

It's unclear if Mason enjoyed the slide or not. : ) I hope he did, because it ended up being his only ride. Poor guy was just an inch or so too short to ride any of the rides. He probably wasn't supposed to do the slide either, but we snuck in. But then the joke was on us because Matt wasn't allowed to carry him up. Mason walked up all the steps, causing a slight traffic jam, but at least he made it.

(Thanks Aunt Melissa for catching this cute shot!)

The little guy in the seat next to Andrew had some great expressions!

I tried to get a picture of the boys in the cute rodeo shirts grandma got them, but Mason must have sensed it and decided to this crazy chicken walk instead.

Mason spent the night watching Andrew have fun. Luckily it only took one ride and he seemed to understand he wasn't going on anymore. Plus, he had fun being passed around between us all to be carried.

Aunt Melissa took Andrew on the Sizzler. After the ride was over, Melissa felt sick and Andrew said it made his head feel crazy. Then, just to make sure we didn't have too great of a day, Andrew woke up at 11:30 and puked! It was a bummer, especially since we all sleep in the same room at grandma & grandpa's house. We cleared his sheets and pulled him into bed with us, where he slept through the night and woke up feeling great. We might have pushed his little tummy, just a bit too far...

labor day parade

We had another great Labor Day weekend in E'burg this year! I love everything about this weekend and I've got a ton of pictures to prove it! I'll do a post for each event because they're just that great. : )

We started off with the pancake breakfast and parade.

Cutest little Wrangler butt in town!

Amy made it into town for a bit and I was finally able to meet Freya! (I'm not sure what Mason is doing, but I wanted proof of meeting Freya in real life instead of just virtual blog life, and this is the only picture I took...).

Mason tried to join the parade a couple times. : )

friends at the zoo

Today we went to the zoo with friends. We saw a lot more animals then we do when we just go on our own, including a baby kangaroo in a homemade pouch. I love that place!

Mason always finds his way to this drinking fountain. He loves drinking fountains in general, but for some reason he's loved this one since he was very little. It was time to photograph it! : )

before

I love Mason's hair. But, today he got a little trim to make him look more like a little boy and less like a crazy, college bachelor dude... (sorry, no real 'after' shots because his hair was a little funky. There will be plenty to come).

farmin'

We brought Matt lunch while he was swathing. I felt like quite the farmer's wife! : )

sleepover

Mason survived his first sleepover! (and by that, of course, I mean he had a great time). I was told their cousins took great care of them. : ) They walked/scootered to a park, saw a herd of elk, swam, picked blueberries... And, as an added bonus, they both even slept through the night.

Thanks to Aunt Melanie for taking great pictures of their fun weekend!

They're a good lookin' bunch, don't you think?!

happy engagement!

The future Mr & Mrs Cram.

Practicing for all the pictures we'll be taking on the big day. : )

{Inside joke} There is a blog we read that never fails to crack us up. There just happened to be something at her parents' house that reminded us of our favorite post ever... HA! I love it.

So, on Saturday I went to my friends engagement party all alone. We had planned for the boys to go to the Miller's for the night since the party started at their bedtime, but then Matt had to go help his dad on the farm so I lost my date too. It was crazy watching all the moms and dads chasing their kids around while I sat peacefully with my drink! : ) And then, I came home and had the house to myself. I stayed in bed until 9 (by accident - I woke up at 7 and thought I'd stay in bed for a few minutes - since it was an option - and fell back asleep...) then have spent the morning cleaning and catching up on the blog. Not exactly how I thought I'd spend my free time, but cleaning without interruption is (unfortunately) fantastic! I do plan to go grab a coffee and just sit in there and enjoy some people watching later.

Melanie got some great pictures of their slumber party! I can't wait to share the pictures of the cousins having a fun time together. I love having somewhere to send the boys where I don't have to worry one bit that they're being loved and well taken care of. Love you, Millers! : )

dog park

We met Brooke & Gus at Luther Burbank Park in Mercer Island on Saturday. They let you take your dogs for a swim, so we thought it'd be fun to let the kids and dogs frolic together. Although once we got to the dog park section, we realized that wasn't going to work. So, Brooke and Gus played while we found a different spot. They met up with us after a few minutes and we enjoyed a lovely time on our private beach area. Also, the playground area rocked! The slide goes so fast that Andrew actually caught air at the bottom (landed it perfectly!) and Mason had a look of terror on his face (I was there to catch him and I'm sure he enjoyed it!). It was perfection, really.

snuggles

When Mason turned 2, I filled out a survey for the CH study we have him in. One of the questions asked if he nurtured his animals (put them to bed, hugged them, etc) and he was so far from doing that, that the question actually made me laugh. Well, I guess it wasn't such an odd question because 2 months later, he is now very nurturing to his animals. And thinking back, Andrew started this game a little before turning 2. He used to line up his favorite 5 or so and then snuggle up with them. I guess this means they'll both make great dads some day... : )
