I have too much time on my hands:

Oliver

Tonight I got to watch my niece in her school's production of Oliver. It was fun to watch her on stage and the show was great!

We got there early to make sure we got good seats. Any time I have to wait long, I tend to pull out my camera to entertain myself - hence a self portrait of the three of us as we waited for the show to start.

Here we are hanging out with the celebrities after the show. :)

where's the bouncy house?

We went to a fun event called Touch-a-Truck today. It was filled with cool stuff including a concert, Lightening McQueen and tons of cars, trucks and tractors but all Andrew cared about was finding the bouncy house. And getting a balloon... (drives me crazy!).

I tried to get a picture of the boys before we left. They were too busy watching Handy Manny to look at me, but not too busy to hug. :)

It was a cool event because the kids could get in and really play in the cars and trucks. Andrew said his favorite part was when a truck ran over and crushed a car.

The boys were pretty impressed by the skateboard demo.

On our way home we noticed some action at Lake Tye so we stopped to see what was going on. It was a remote control boat race that ended up being pretty cool.

fun in the backseat

On the way home from school today we stopped for ice cream to celebrate Friday and 4 days of sun in a row! After our ice cream the boys were in a great mood. Out of the blue they just started laughing in the backseat. They were just playing and being silly. I prefer this so much more than Mason crying all the way home!! Thank you ice cream!

underdog

Sorry the pictures are a bit hazy but THE SUN WAS OUT! and kept trying to sneak in my pictures. :) It is so nice out today! The boys didn't need sweatshirts but they both wanted to keep them on for a little while for some reason.

In other exciting park news... Andrew learned what an underdog is today. A lady next to us was doing them for her kids and Andrew looked at me and asked for one as if it's something we've always done. He's a very good eavesdropper! And he loves underdogs.

maybe it is spring

The boys started and ended their day wearing glasses...
How fun is this?! The boys were tossing their washcloth up in the air and I caught it mid flight. :)

hit it here

We had our annual M's night out with the Gamradt's last night. Before the game we met up at the Pyramid and Brooke was able to join us after work!! Now that she has a new job she can do stuff like this because our happy-hour time is no longer her breakfast time. (I never could understand her schedule, but I'm pretty sure she had breakfast around 4:30) :)

On the way to our seats, someone directed us to go through some doors and down a hallway. When we went through the doors we found ourselves in the Terrace Club area and couldn't help but be really rad and pose like the some of our favorite Mariners...

On the way out they were handing out free Safeco Field soil. You have no idea how many jokes can be made about free soil at a ballgame. We had tears from laughing so hard from all the comments. I'd recap it for you, but I'm 99% sure you had to be there...

thanks grandma & grandpa!

Grandma & grandpa stayed the night last night so we could go the the M's game. It worked out great for us! :) Thanks!!

blast off

We woke Andrew up to watch Endeavour's last lift off this morning. On the way into school he told me he wanted to be an alien but then corrected himself and said he wants to be an astronaut. :) Then he upped it to a Super Astronaut - his super power will be that he can fly in space. He was lovin' it!

she found it!

I got to go wedding gown shopping with Stephanie today!!

She had a few people to offer their opinions... :) Including me, there were eight of us!

The first picture is Stephanie stepping out of her dressing room in the first dress she tried on. The last picture is her mom's favorite gown.

We saw two other brides trying on gowns and had fun chatting with them. Stephanie actually tried on one of the same dresses as each of our neighbors and one of them even ended up being the winning dress! (The winning dress is not shown).

But it is the one that Karin and I liked best! :)

trains

Me and the boys headed to Bham today, mainly to visit with my mom for mother's day.

Andrew is holding the Lego heros that he loves. My parents bought him one and found them to be buy-one-get-one-free so he got two! He was one happy kid.

My mom also took us to the train museum. The boys had a good time. It's really hands-on which was cool for the boys (but very stressful for me).

I like pictures of me with my boys. I can't help it. :)

thanks RM

I love it when Ryean-Marie takes pictures of me with my boys. Somehow she always captures some of my favorite things!

dinosaurs

The dinosaur exhibit is awesome from the first steps into the zoo. You get to follow dino tracks all the way!
This is the only one that Mason was willing to look at.

The gift shop. The exhibit conveniently ends in a cool little gift shop. Andrew got slimy goo with a dino skeleton buried inside and Mason got a dino ring.

Lunch. Andrew chose hard boiled eggs for lunch - he loves them!
Petting zoo. We went to the petting zoo for the first time. I thought it was boring but the boys seemed to enjoy it.
Jail. Every time we leave, Andrew likes to lock himself in the exit gate and says he's in jail. And because Mason likes to do everything Andrew does, he did it too.

On the way home we saw this fire from the freeway. It was pretty creepy but I heard the story on the news and everyone was okay. Turns out it's a low-income apartment building that has had 3 fires since 1996. If you click on the picture to enlarge it you can really see the orange flames busting out the windows.
