visiting Tim & Joe

We went to Portland this weekend to visit Tim and Joe. It was a quick trip, but we were able to get some good visiting and some good food in while we were there!

We met up at a restaurant for dinner (have I mentioned lately that we love our GPS?!) and had the best wings we've ever had. Andrew wasn't hungry so Mason picked up his corn dog and gave it a try. Turns out he loves them!

When Tim & Joe lived in San Diego they introduced us to the California burrito. Then, when they moved to Portland, they found the Oregon burrito. They are delicious (carne asada and fries - seriously delicious). They have a Washington burrito too, but for some reason they're not as good. Maybe because we're not on vacation when we have ours?

Here we are in line, waiting for donuts. Our wait was an hour and 15 minutes! That's us on the far right side of the picture. They have a crazy variety of donuts - Andrew had to decide between one with Fruit Loops, Cocoa Puffs, or M&M's. He chose M&M's and I've never seen him eat a donut so fast. He loved it!

Then we headed to the market. We didn't stay long because the boys were ready to run around, but we did stay long enough to find a balloon man. Andrew got a pirate sword, hat and holster and pretty much made his day.

After our little tour of Portland, we decided to head back to their house to just relax and enjoy the sun. They have a great back yard - we did our best to break it in for them. :0)

We forgot to pack swim shorts. Nothing wrong with this...

Thanks for a great weekend guys. Maybe next time we'll stay for more than 24 hours... Although this way we were able to leave without the boys going too crazy or having any meltdowns. So maybe it was perfect after all!
